Native American Ceremony (Inipi) - Weekend of community with

Carlo Hawkwalker and friends. We are honored and grateful to host Carlo and friends for a weekend event at Lotus Heart Rising. Carlo is a true teacher of peace and holds Sitting Bull's Peace Pipe. Carlo has been leading ceremonies for over nearly 30 years and is a gift to all of us through these ancient teachings.

 

The I-ni-pi ceremony, a type of sweat lodge, is a Lakota purification ceremony. It is an ancient and sacred ceremony of the Lakota people

and has been passed down through the generations of Lakota.

 

Carlo's teachings are profound, deep and transformational on many levels. So deep that it is impossible to describe, it has to be experienced.

 

If you feel drawn to join us, please stop in anytime over the weekend

for this sacred ceremony of peace. There are no specified times for the ceremonies.

 

Please bring an offering of a food (covered dish, snacks, fruit, yogurt, etc). We do have several power strip setup on a tables if you want to bring something in a crockpot. Meals are served in the lower level of Lotus Heart Rising, meals can be eaten in the lower level room, deck or front porch or anywhere on the property.

 

Tenting will be available with your tent in the field over the weekend. We do have a portable sanitation unit.

Please note, woman that are on their "moon" (menstruating) will be at the "moon" fire with other woman. It is an honor to hold the prayerful space for those in the lodge.

 

Woman that enter the lodge should wear a long skirt, we have many available to put on over shorts, just let us know.
